When the storm causes detour part.01

Everything begins with something un nished, as goes the famous René Daumal’s story, Mount Analogue. is page has triggered several questions in my work during the past two years. It contains at the same time a rmations and doubts, which allows the team in the novel to nd the Mountain. is speci c page explaining the curvature of space with two pieces of paper is particularly important because it gives a key, giving metaphorical access to utopia, and thus creating a possible unity and continuity between physical, intellectual and imaginary worlds.
It all began in Marfa, Texas, when I proposed to the five other young artists to use Daumal’s novel as a plot and hijack the last chapter yet to be written. As if this small Texan town was metaphorically our Mountain. Later, we produced and wrote together an alternative ending called Ground Mount based on a storm event that made us change our route and run out of gas in the desert.
The main idea of this project has been to create a work that can be deployed in particular contexts that are each time different.
at is why this sound installation has been played in three different temporalities, and in three different ways, experimenting each time with another approach.
